The home buying and home selling process can be a daunting and stressful time, but if you follow these important tips you can save yourself a lot of time, headaches and above all, money!
Using a REALTOR® will help you to alleviate some of those stresssors and guide you to through the process of making the biggest purchase and for most, one of the biggest decisions in their lives!
REALTOR® is a federally registered collective membership mark which identifies a real estate professional who is member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict 2014 REALTOR® Code of Ethics. All real estate licensees are not REALTORS®.
A requirement through the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR®) that went into effect January 1, 2001 states that ALL REALTORS® MUST take continuing ethics training every four (4) years.
The training was put into place in order to create an awareness and appreciation for the role that Code can and should play in their professional lives; to enhance professionalism and competency; and to encourage REALTORS® to view their Code of Ethics as living, viable guide in their daily dealings with clients.
All real estate licensees are not the same. Only real estate licensees who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® are properly called REALTORS®. They proudly display the "REALTOR®" logo on their business card or other marketing and sales literature. REALTORS® are committed to treat all parties to a transaction honestly. REALTORS® subscribe to a strict code of ethics and are expected to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate. An independent survey reports that 84% of home buyers would use the same REALTOR® again.
